When do I qualify for compensation for delays?

Compensation for delays

We offer compensation in the following situations:

  • In case of delays, which last longer than 30 minutes, you can count on a disposable OV-chipkaart with the travel product RET 2 hours, so that you can make another trip with RET at the expense of RET. In case of the Fast Ferry you will receive a 'one way' ticket.
  • For delays, which last longer than 60 minutes, you receive one RET 2 hours ticket or two single trips Fast Ferry or compensation of any taxi costs.
  • For more than 2 delays (both lasting longer than 20 minutes) within 1 week, you receive one RET 2 hours ticket / one way ticket Fast Ferry.
  • If the first or last bus, tram, metro or Fast Ferry doesn't depart according to the timetable (more than 10 minutes late) or doesn't arrive at all, you receive one RET 2 hours ticket / one way ticket Fast Ferry or compensation of any taxi costs or replacement transport organized by RET.
