RET 40% Discount

Travel a month with RET at a 40% discount

Who is it for?

For those who frequently travel with RET. It doesn't need to be on a fixed route. Convenient if you travel to various destinations or have multiple work locations.

Where can it be used?

Valid on all RET buses, trams, and metros.
Not valid on RET neighborhood buses.
Not valid on RET night buses or with other public transport companies.

How to use it

  • RET 40% Discount offers a 40% discount on the base fare for one month. The base fare is the rate when checking in and out using a contactless debit or credit card.
  • Seniors (65+) and children (ages 4 to 11) can receive a 34% age-based discount on the base fare, if registered. See the product terms under ‘Checking in and out with a contactless debit or credit card, also on your mobile’. If seniors or children then travel using RET 20% Discount, they receive both the 34% age discount and an additional 20% discount — a discount on top of a discount. RET Discount can be linked to a debit or credit card.
Note: This can only be done after you’ve used your card once in public transport.
  • RET 20% and RET 40% Discount cannot be combined.
Always check in and out, even when transferring, or you risk a fine for not having a valid ticket.
  • RET Korting does not apply work at other public transport companies. However, if you transfer to or from another operator’s bus, tram, or metro within 35 minutes of your last check-out, you won’t be charged the base fare again. The same applies in reverse when transferring to RET.

When is RET 40% Discount beneficial for me?

RET 40% Discount is a cost-effective choice if you spend more than €104.00 per month on RET travel without a travel product or age-based discount.
