Experience the Port of Rotterdam with the Fast Ferry from Hoek van Holland. Cruise past huge sea-going ships and do a little seal spotting along the way. Hop on your bike and pay a visit to FutureLand, the beach at Maasvlakte 2 or stroll through the lovely nature conservation area on the Landtong peninsula.

Stops and cycle junction networks

The Fast Ferry travels from Hoek van Holland to the Maasvlakte in approximately 20 minutes. An entire round trip takes around 60 minutes to complete. The Fast Ferry travels to the 'Scheurhaven Landtong' stop in Rozenburg during the summer only. During the winter period, the Ferry will operate on a different time table.

Take your bicycle or scooter with you free of charge

A wide range of cycling and hiking paths depart from Hoek van Holland and take you past both familiar and less familiar highlights that the port and nature have to offer. Bring your own bicycle or scooter with you on the Fast Ferry free of charge and follow one of the cycle or hiking routes on the Maasvlakte, Europoort or Landtong peninsula.

Fares 2021

The Fast Ferry has its own ticket, which you can purchase on board or online using the RET Barcode App. All other tickets are not accepted. You can find more information on purchasing an online ticket at ret.nl/barcodeticket. The round-trip ticket is valid for one circuit past all stops and children aged under four travel free.

Bicycle rental Hoek van Holland

At Peter van Leeuwen Tweewielers, you can rent a bicycle with 7 gears or an e-bike at a reduced rate. Reserve a bicycle in advance online and pick it up at the bike shop at the Prins Hendrikstraat in Hoek van Holland. Tips for the trip and surrounding area

> During your journey, spot seals between the stops Hoek van Holland Berghaven and Antarcticaweg Maasvlakte.
> From the Antarcticaweg Maasvlakte stop, it’s only a 10-minute bicycle ride to FutureLand. Visit the Information Centre or book a cruise tour or trip through the port.
> Care for a brisk stroll or relaxing day on a beach undiscovered by the crowds? It's only a 20-minute bicycle ride from the Antarcticaweg Maasvlakte stop.
> From the Transferium Maasvlakte stop, you can take your pick of the Oostvoornse and/or Brielse Meer lakes, Rockanje, Brielle and Oostvoorne, where scenic cycling and hiking routes abound.
> Get off at Scheurhaven Landtong. This is a nature conservation area where you will find dunes and grassy landscapes which are home to unique species of flowers and birds.

Metro line B, Nesselande – Hoek van Holland Haven

Since autumn of 2019, metro line B travels between Hoek van Holland Haven and Nesselande in Rotterdam. This allows you to easily and quickly travel from Rotterdam, Schiedam, Vlaardingen and Maassluis to Hoek van Holland and vice versa. The Berghaven Hoek van Holland stop is only a few minutes away from the metro station by foot. The Fast Ferry ticket is not valid for the metro, please buy a metro ticket at the ticket vending machine at the metro station or online using the RET Barcode App.

Bicycles can be taken onto the metro free of charge, outside peak hours. A folding bike can always be taken along, but it must be folded. Bicycles are permitted onto metro lines on Monday through Friday between 9:00 and 16:00 and after 18:30 and throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays. Taking your bicycle onto the metro during larger events is often not permitted, for up-to-date information, please check the timetable of your metro line.
