Eurovision Song Contest

From Monday 17 May through Saturday 22 May, the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Rotterdam. Travel comfortably by  metro D and E to Rotterdam Ahoy. Get off at metro station Zuidplein.

Will you be travelling to one of the shows in Ahoy Rotterdam using public transport? Be well-prepared: plan your trips – both there and back – using the journey planner or at www.9292.nl.
To travel by public transport you need a valid ticket. Order your RET 2 hour ticket or RET 1 day ticket online.

The RET is a partner of Rotterdam Make It Happen, and therefore a proud partner of the Eurovision Song Contest as well.

Last departure times and transfer options

The entire week of the Eurovision Song Contest, we will operate the metros with as many carriages as possible to ensure you can maintain enough social distance between yourself and other passengers. Below, for each specific time, we will share information you should take into account when planning your journey.
Please note that departure times may vary by a few minutes due to delays such as unscheduled stops on the tracks.

Will you be attending an afternoon show in Ahoy on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday?
If so, please be aware that public transport may be especially crowded because the end of the show will coincide with the regular afternoon rush hour. It may be especially crowded on Saturday afternoon due to people going out shopping.

Will you be attending an evening show in Ahoy on Friday or Saturday?
On Friday and Saturday evenings, after the ‘regular’ timetable, the RET operates an extra network of metros along busy routes. We call this the weekend metro. In the overview below, you will find the last departure times from metro station Zuidplein, travelling to other stations.

After the weekend metro, RET operate multiple shuttle metros between Zuidplein station and Rotterdam Central Station. These metros are not listed in the journey planner; they depart once enough passengers are on board. The last shuttle metro departs from Zuidplein to Rotterdam Central Station around 02:30. The shuttle metros stop at all intermediate stations, except at Beurs after 02:04 (because there are no transfer options there after that time). Intermediate stations are: Maashaven, Rijnhaven, Wilhelminaplein, Leuvehaven, Beurs (until 02:04), Stadhuis and final station Rotterdam Central Station.
