Organisation
The overall management of RET is the responsibility of the general director Pedro Peters. Under his leadership, our organisation consists of three main divisions:
- The Development division deals with transport, issuing/certifying travel passes and tickets, traffic management and safety issues. The majority of the RET employees work within this function and includes our bus, tram and metro drivers as well as the supervisory staff.
- The Management Services/Resources division consists of the support departments which includes Personnel, Organisation and Finance. Those RET staff working for this division are responsible for IT, personnel administration, finance, claim settlements, and much more besides.
- The Technical division comprises the following departments: Material and Infrastructure maintenance, Business and Management, and Development. The RET staff working in this division are responsible for things such as maintenance, technical developments and management.
As from 1 January 2007, RET gained independence once again after previously been controlled by the local authority for almost 80 years. We continue to do what we’re good at, but now under a different juridical structure.
